Furniture from the sky and 100 followers.

"See exciting giveaway below post"
Well, once people know what your desires are,  they flock to help you! I am so grateful. This has always been a great passion of mine. Since the day I was born I thought maybe, just maybe I was born in the wrong era?  Why do I love anything and everything old. I also love to create things to make them look old  long before this became a trend. Which brings me back to this!

Some kind person got wind that I love to refinish vintage pieces and donated this to my cause. As a jump to my new adventure to help me get started.

FURNITURE FROM THE SKY!

Did I mention how grateful I am. We can all use a break every now and then and this was one of them.

It needs some repairs but nothing I can't handle. It has great bones.
Lovely details. I cannot wait to get my hands on it. My bones are aching with desire to be creative with some of these pieces . I have so much creating to do this summer....just waiting and waiting for the weather to cooperate.  I think I am going to explode inspiration.

I am also sooooo grateful to my 100 followers. I started blogging in January 2011 and I have never enjoyed  anything as rewarding as this. The kind words of encouragement are very motivating. I hope I was able to inspire a few of you along the way. This has been the creative outlet I was craving for years. I enjoy writing and sharing some of life's little surprises. I have no idea where this little adventure is going, or where it will lead me, but I am enjoying the ride along with all of you. Thanks for sharing your comments with me. Your comments are truly an inspiration and they give me the desire to continue on this little  escapade. In celebration, I will be hosting a giveaway to thank all of you.  To participate simply click on "GIVEAWAY".  OR "See Below".This Giveaway is open to all. Hope to see you there!

My first 100 followers

I am so excited to announce "My first giveaway"  to thank my first 100 followers and to introduce you to my new Etsy Shop (to view click here). Here is what I am giving away to the lucky winner.

As you all may know I love to have a little inspirational quote after every post and in dedication to that, here is a beautiful quote so you can be inspired each and every day.

One of my favorite words of inspiration by Anaïs Nin.
 .

How this quote came about....

Photo of  Anaïs Nin.
In each case there had been a long period of holding on to some pattern that had been causing me pain (usually unacknowledged). I’d been a tightly-closed bud. This was followed by a catalyzing event (in each case it involved being on retreat) in which I became fully aware of the pain I’d been causing myself. The pain of remaining closed became too much. Then there was a grand finale of emotional release and a spiritual awakening into greater wholeness and well-being. The bud opened, albeit painfully. Anaïs Nin’s quotation — “…the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom” — seems to perfectly encapsulate that process.

My second item is a little more practical and ecological, but just as lovely. An Envirosax...the reusable designer bag, not just any envirosax, but one with the design of the state of ?????? yes,  you guessed it. The state where my little girls heart is. And of course the inspiration for a few of my posts.
NEW YORK CITY.
I never leave home without mine! very strong and sturdy.

And the 3rd item of my giveaway is from my Etsy shop.

2 delicate napkins with a hand stitched flower in one corner.

  6. OK - I'm in on the give-away (besides my birthday is June 1 so i really deserve to win). My favorite thing in your etsy shop are the white linens...I always use (and collect) cloth napkins, the more unusual the better, it just makes any old meal into "dining." I even have 50 monogramed naps I used at the rehearsal dinners of my sons...which I will divide and bestow upon their wives for heirlooms....ahhh, why did we switch to paper????
