Tic tac toe or tea time?

Do you remember playing tic tac toe with your brothers or sisters. It was a favorite of mine as a child and for my children too. Pssssssssst! Need to learn the trick, you can win more often then not! Well it was fun while it lasted. My children soon figured out the little trick! ahhhhhh well... them the breaks. No longer a hero in their eyes. This is my little painted version of tic tac toe.

Had a blast painting the details.

This ceramic piece was purchased white straight from the kiln. I had a little fun with this piece.  A little out of character for me as far as color schemes. I usually go for more muted or earth tones.

The top lifts off to store  the little teapots and teacups.

Sadly the little shop I purchased the raw materials from closed its doors. I am unable to get any more ceramic peices. Boohoo!

This piece is available to purchase on my Etsy shop

The little trick; try to place your "X" or "O"  on 3 corners, when your opponent tries to block you...you have another option to tic tac toe. Caution: keep an eye on his markers don't get distracted with the urge to place your markers on the corners. Have fun!

My words of inspiration for the day.

Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint you can on it.

Raindrops keep falling on my head

Argggghhhhh! Its been raining for 4 days straight! So I decided lets embrace it. I have been wanting to show my little sanctuary outside but the rain won't allow me. Its been dull and wet. The sun is trying to make an appearance, now's the time to have some fun with the camera. I am certainly not a professional, nor is my camera anything fancy but I love to play and have fun with it.

My makeshift fountain on my deck with my sweet angel.

This angel reminds me of my son, we have a photo of him sitting on a rock at age 5 making the same gesture. He is just missing the wings.....

Favorite bird house

All chippy and rusty

Just love how it weathered

I found this bird house at a garage sale many years ago and hand painted it myself.

No birds have ever inhabited it, simply used for decoration.

Petunias. My Mom would sing this song to us when we were kids ..."I'm a lonely little petunia in an onion patch....All I ever do is cry!"

My Petunias are crying!!!!

One of my favorite gifts from my sister and her husband.  A wrought iron hanging planter.

Hostas, One of my most cherished plants. I love to garden with hostas. I have many varieties.

In the spring I pull them from my holding garden, split them and transplant them into pots on my deck.

In the fall I transplant them back into my holding garden (vegetable garden no longer in use).

Every year I have new hostas and varieties, the split plants are planted throughout my property. You can save a ton of money this way.

My vegetable/holding garden, not very pretty right now. I will get to it later.

Back to my deck, my cow bells I picked up in Switzerland.

I love a lot of greenery

I have a creeping Virginia creeping over everything and I love it.

This was once in my kitchen, love to move things around.

My little herb section just off my kitchen, very convenient. I found the basket at a garage sale for $3.

Another garage sale find. I saw Cornucopias all over Switzerland with flowers planted in them. It was just lovely.

My Gargoyle watching over me! I have had him for years.

More flower power

Everything is still so wet. The rain just hasn't stopped. Not so great for potted plants.

My rusted painted bucket. I painted this many years ago and it was just sitting under a wastepaper basket in my basement. What a waste...hehe! Lame I know!

Miniature roses, I purchase them, enjoy them on my deck all summer and then plant them permanently in my flower beds in the fall. A money saving tip as well.

When all was said and done, I sat back to enjoy the fruits of my labor with a sparkling cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Now if only I could convince the Jeep dealers to deliver Lenny as promised on the hood of my Jeep.

My words of inspiration for the day!

Still Lenny!!!! hehe..

A peek through nowhere.

My carport... the result of a not so nice neighbor. Where once stood my garage is now my new/old carport.
Old windows I picked up at a garage sale for a steal.

Adding insult to injury, my neighbors decided they wanted it to go (the garage) at the same time my exhubby was thinking the same thing (He wanted to go too)!

All chippy and old I don't have to worry about them getting ruined. I like 'em like that!

Well the result, they both left, they both cost me a lot of money and left a big old ugly hole behind. That was awhile back....made a few compromises and now I am happy with the results.

Besides, with windows to nowhere...I don't have to look at my nasty neighbors.

So is Big Bertha (my Jeep), she loves to sleep under it every night but she misses Lenny. Which brings me to another subject I was just not too happy about. I told my Jeep Dealer I wanted a refund. I was just not happy... I wanted all my money back.

The gate that leads to my backyard through my new/old carport.

When they delivered my Jeep it was missing a very important piece of equipment. One that I was counting on having around for awhile. What an oversight.  Did they really think I would still want the Jeep without this very important piece of equipment.

More carport love.

What were they thinking? Especially being a single Mom. Geese what were they thinking???...Again what were they thinking???!!??. I would just not notice?! Have a look at the picture below and you tell me if you could live without this important piece of equipment?????

Some Lenny Love.

It was missing from the front of my hood!
