Vintage image block

I love all things vintage, old and worn out. The more wear and tear the better it is.
Well, there are exclusions. Cars, men......enough said.

Searching for images over the internet is as easy as clik, clik, clik and limitless.  My choice comes from The Graphics Fairy  who has been adding vintage images to her site every day since 2007.

I simply downloaded, printed and cut out the image.

A 6 X 6 inch stretch canvas was purchased at a craft store to paste my images on.

This time I used a very old technique to achieve the worn out edges.

I burnt all the edges. Make sure you do this over a fireproof area like the sink. Remember... doing this to the first love letter you ever wrote but never had the gumption to sent out......
Notice the dirty pot in the sink in the background , "you know where my priorities are."

I used an old credit card to smooth out the wrinkles, a maxed out card works just as well. At least you are making good use of the plastic.

Relief Stencil paste was used to give it an aged look.

A closer look.

Et voila!

Hope it inspires you to create all your favorite
 images.
