Vintage finds

I found these fabulous vintage feet/legs at a flea market some years back. Yes, Still digging through the bowels of my basement. Still finding treasures I had packed away.

You know what "THEY SAY".....if you forget about an item that was packed away, you don't really need it and you won't miss it. Well I beg to differ...

Yes, I forgot about them, but what would my day have been like today...without them. For Pete's sake. Glad I don't listen to what "THEY SAY"!  These feet planted a big smile on my face today.  See, I am easy. It doesn't take much to make me happy.

Look at the details and all that vintage chippy paint. When I first laid eyes on them ahhhhhhh, ! I had a thought of what to do with them....but that was years ago... My brain doesn't function the same way anymore. So I need to develop a new idea.

Perhaps some shelving. I would have to slice off the dowel at the top to make that work. So many possibilities.

These feet/legs could not be passed up. I just fell in love with them. I am so glad I kept them. What I know for sure, I don't need them but I cherish them. Until I decide what to do with these feet they will sit with pride in my cabinet and remind me of sunny days at the  flea market with my kids.

Still working on Shabby Chic Amour. Today I distressed and installed the mirror.
And Oh Ya..My Mom is back. Had her over for supper tonight. Sweet.

My words of inspiration for the day.

  1. I agree. A clutter free house can be boring! I recently restarted a project that was put aside for at least 4 years!! By the way I had Mom over last night!! Ha Ha!!

  9. Great legs! They could be used on a footstool or an old wood box. I love the dresser too.

  10. Oh so pretty! They could be used on top of a dresser (upside down) on the back corners to spiff up a plain dresser.

  11. Who are "they," anyway? ;) I so agree with you. "They" are seldom correct in "their" assessments. I'm always thrilled when I dig up a treasure I had buried at some point in the past. And those wonderful wooden feet are incredible and bring a smile to my face, as well.

Thanks for linking to the party.
